About this release
Filippo Diana, also known as Joe Drive, imagines a horror-film score inspired by H. P. Lovecraft’s The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. Analogue and digital synthesizers, microphones and computers supply the material for a narrative of resurrection, hidden rituals and creeping transformation. Short cues such as ‘Prologue’, ‘Red Fog’ and ‘Black Rituals’ give the record a scene-by-scene structure, while its electronic textures place it within Musica Per Immagini’s soundtrack catalogue. Mastered by Giuliano Radiciotti, The Haunted Palace is presented on 180g black vinyl with a poster insert in a hand-stamped, numbered edition.
