Radx - Reverse Acceleration of Dragons

Radx brings together X.Y.R. and Vlad Dobrovolski for an album shaped by vintage synthesizers, samplers and pedals. Reverse Acceleration Of Dragons draws on their shared interest in eighties and nineties electronic instruments, ambient furniture music and the science-fiction imagery of Michael Swanwick. Calm Vortex opens a sequence that moves through Ovgo’s Etheric Mind and the rising textures of Heavenly Shepherd Of Silence, before the longer Gaia Hypothesis and Liminal Space fill the reverse. The collaboration sits between the two musicians’ individual approaches, building patiently layered environments that extend the more contemplative side of 12th Isle’s catalogue.
