About this release
How Could You Break My Heart pairs two Bobby Womack recordings from his 1979 album Roads Of Life. Written and produced with Patrick Moten, the title track places Womack's voice against keyboards, strings, horns and a firm rhythmic backing. Give It Up offers a more reflective counterpart, combining vocal harmonies with strings, piano and saxophone. Together, the songs show the relationship between Womack's expressive singing and the detailed arrangements around it. This official Arista reissue brings both recordings to remastered 7-inch vinyl, with a large centre hole and one song on each side.
Format: 7" vinyl with large centre hole
