Channel 3 - The Sweetest Thing / Someone Else's Arms

The Sweetest Thing pairs Channel 3's Chicago soul recording with Someone Else's Arms. The 1973 single brings together Carl Davis' production, William Sanders' arrangement and Willie Henderson's rhythmic contribution, with strings and backing voices supporting the group's lead singing. The reverse offers a second recording from the same pairing, preserving the connection between the two songs rather than adding later material. Dakar's 7-inch reissue returns the single to vinyl with one track on each side. The release offers a focused example of the studio collaborations that shaped Chicago soul during the period.
