About this release
Jaymz Bedford's Just Keep My Boogie pairs two recordings produced by Roy Ayers in 1981. The title track brings bright funk keyboards and guitar figures together with Bedford's vocal, keeping a boogie groove at its centre. Happy Music takes the reverse, continuing the combination of singing and rhythm-led instrumentation in a second song. Gold Mink's reissue was remastered and officially licensed from Uno Melodic Records through Expansion Records. Both tracks appear together on a twelve-inch single, giving each recording a full side and keeping the original pairing intact.
