Jimmy Patrick Longfort - Attention!

Funkscapes reissues Jimmy Patrick Longfort’s 1987 release Attention!, associated with Düsseldorf’s Ratinger Hof. The three original tracks are remastered and joined by an instrumental rework from TAFS, the Tapedeck Adventures From Space project of Offer Van Kesteren. The title song centres on separation and heartbreak, while 'Mambaille' brings French lyrics, steel drums and funk keyboards into the picture. 'Do You Really Love Me' closes the original material with a highlife approach. The 12-inch uses artwork based on the first edition and includes an insert with liner notes by Rudi Esch, placing the record in its local context.
