Joe Brown and the Soul Elderados - Vibration Part One / Vibration Part Two

Joe Brown and the Soul Elderados’ Vibration brings two contrasting sides of Atlanta soul together on a Backatcha 7-inch. Part One moves towards funk, led by guitar and a firmer rhythmic feel. Part Two slows the pace into a lo-fi ballad, with Brown’s voice and piano giving the recording an intimate, melancholy character. Originally issued through F.F.A. Records, the release belongs to Brown’s run of independent recordings around Atlanta. Part Two also appeared on Backatcha’s Swave Villi Us compilation, connecting the singer’s work with the label’s wider exploration of regional soul.
