About this release
Running Back To You pairs Las Vegas Connection's more rhythmic soul recording with Can't Nobody Love Me Like You Do. The group released the original single through Senator Jones' Hep' Me label in New Orleans, where their work formed part of a local independent soul scene. Running Back To You leans towards the dancefloor, while the reverse takes a gentler mid-tempo approach. This 7-inch reissue brings the two songs back together on the original label, preserving the contrast between the sides. The pairing offers a focused account of the group through one of its two Hep' Me singles.
