About this release
Mac Machine’s first single returns through Funkscapes, pairing two recordings originally self-released in 1983. Formed in Kassel by former US soldiers, the band brings an early-rap approach to In This World, setting socially critical lyrics against a playful boogie-funk groove. Let Me Go changes the emotional direction, with a powerful lead vocal, female chorus, piano and percussion framing the end of a relationship. The contrast gives the pairing its shape: one side turns towards collective movement, the other towards a more personal parting. This official seven-inch reissue comes in a picture sleeve with an insert carrying liner notes.
