About this release
Marcia Hines’ You Gotta Let Go returns to seven-inch vinyl with its original B-side, Don’t Let The Grass Grow. First released on Australia’s Wizard label in 1976, the A-side later found a wider audience among modern-soul and Northern Soul DJs. Hines’ bright vocal delivery and the song’s rhythmic lift give it a dancefloor character, while the flip provides a contrasting companion. Selector Series’ reissue restores the original single pairing rather than the different couplings found on other editions. The focus remains on the two songs and Hines’ performance, presenting both tracks together in their original compact format.
