Marion Javius - Waiting in the Wings

Athens Of The North revisits Marion Javius’ Waiting In The Wings with access to the original multitrack tapes. East Coast Love Affair rebuild the song around an alternative vocal take, removing particular chorus ad-libs and rhythmic details to give the arrangement a different shape. The new version grew from a long-standing affection for the original, with the tapes supplied by collector David Haffner and the reconstruction undertaken with Linkwood. The original mix remains on the flip, making this seven-inch a direct comparison between the familiar recording and a revision made from its constituent parts.
