About this release
Thank You and Where Is The Love pair two Richard Caiton recordings made in 1978. In Caiton's account of the session, Wardell Quezergue arranged the music in Jackson, using Malaco's players and adding strings around the vocals. Thank You takes the form of a gentle ballad, while Where Is The Love moves towards a more uptempo soul arrangement. Senator Jones issued the recordings through JB's Records, connecting the session with New Orleans' independent labels. This 7-inch reissue restores the pairing, with a yellow label and white sleeve matching the documented edition.
