About this release
Spirit brings the group's extended gospel-disco recording from Put Your Hands Together to a Rain & Shine 12-inch. Originally recorded for the 1979 album, the track runs for around twelve minutes, giving the ensemble's vocals and instrumental exchanges room to develop. Zaf & Phil Asher contribute the edit on the reverse, reshaping the recording for club use while keeping its shared gospel and soul character. The reissue was arranged with producer Tim Johnson's approval. This RSRLTD004 edition is supplied in a generic sleeve and includes both the original version and the Zaf & Phil Asher edit.
