About this release
The Chuck Boris Trio reinterpret Funky Nassau and Shaft with a West Coast jazz-funk approach on this Selector Series seven-inch. The first side takes The Beginning Of The End's song into a rock-influenced fusion setting, while the reverse gives Isaac Hayes' Shaft a psychedelic treatment. Both recordings are remastered for this release, pairing the two covers on a forty-five for the first time. Their contrasting arrangements connect the originals' funk foundations with the trio's own instrumental character. This orange vinyl edition comes in a Selector Series picture sleeve and was issued with a holographic sticker.
Format: 7" orange vinyl single, picture sleeve
