The Isley Brothers - Footsteps In The Dark (Part 1 & 2)

Footsteps In The Dark pairs the Isley Brothers' two-part recording with Between The Sheets. Both songs put Ronald Isley's vocals within relaxed arrangements, combining bass, percussion and layered harmonies with the group's soul and funk approach. The pairing also reflects the recordings' later influence on hip hop: Footsteps In The Dark was sampled by Ice Cube, while Between The Sheets became part of The Notorious B.I.G.'s sound. This Epic reissue presents the two recordings on remastered 7-inch vinyl, with a large centre hole. Each side carries one complete selection from the group's catalogue.
