About this release
Tom Brock's I Love You More And More places his soulful voice within Barry White's production and Gene Page's orchestral arrangements. Released by 20th Century Records in 1974, it was Brock's only solo album, with eight songs balancing rich strings and carefully shaped funk rhythms. There's Nothing In This World That Can Stop Me From Loving You later provided the sample for Jay-Z's Girls, Girls, Girls, introducing the recording to another audience. The title song, Shake Me, Wake Me and If We Don't Make It, Nobody Can complete a programme focused on Brock's vocal delivery. This is Mr Bongo's MRBLP224 vinyl reissue.
