About this release
Houston's TSU Toronados pair mellow soul with energetic funk on Please Heart Don't Break / Ain't Nothin' Nowhere. The group served as Ovide's house band and recorded the original Tighten Up riff. Please Heart Don't Break centres on expressive singing and close harmonies over an easy-moving groove, while the reverse brings a quicker pace and voices trading lines. Rampart Street's official seven-inch reissue presents the two songs in their single mixes. This is the red-label version in a black sleeve, returning both sides of the Houston band's recording to vinyl.
