About this release
Concentrate / Get Up brings two Willie Tee recordings together on a Gatur Records seven-inch. Concentrate places his voice within the mellow New Orleans soul sound associated with his work alongside the Gaturs. Get Up takes the reverse into a similarly relaxed funk setting, connecting the two sides through their unhurried groove. This reissue presents the original single pairing under catalogue number GS8001, with the vocal-led first side and funk-focused flip offering two complementary parts of Tee's recorded work.
