About this release
MF DOOM's Special Herbs Volumes 3 & 4 collects sixteen instrumental productions under his Metal Fingers alias. From Agrimony and Arabic Gum to Star Anise, Four Thieves Vinegar and Hyssop, the collection gives his sampled arrangements space outside their vocal settings. The series draws on soul, funk and R&B records alongside less obvious found sounds, treating each fragment as material for a new composition. This Rhymesayers pressing presents the complete two-volume programme on lemon-yellow double vinyl, with each volume occupying one record. A custom top-opening die-cut gatefold, printed record sleeves and rolling-paper-style insert complete the edition.
Format: 2 x lemon-yellow vinyl LP, die-cut gatefold
