About this release
Chris Penny’s Cpen project returns to Seasons Recordings with a white and black marbled vinyl reissue of Pirates Life EP. Originally released in the 2000s and featured on Craig Richards’ fabric mix, the title track pairs a relaxed groove with spacious electronic textures.
Song Of The Muse strips away the rhythm for a synth-led passage, while Liquid Steps brings soft kicks and bright keys. Third Quarter closes with a downtempo arrangement that carries Penny’s characteristic synth sound into a quieter setting.
