Mr Bongo pairs two contrasting Brazilian recordings on this Brazil 45s single. As Meninas’ Redondo Sambao first appeared on Som Maior in 1967, combining female vocal-group arrangements with flute and lively samba percussion. On the reverse, Jorginho Telles’ Brasileiro moves between a rough-edged male vocal and psychedelic guitar, bringing an R&B charge to the pairing. That track appeared on his self-titled 1971 album and a seven-inch single, both issued by Copacabana. Together they offer two different views of Brazilian music from the period, brought back to seven-inch vinyl under catalogue number BRZ45100.
