About this release
Àbáse’s Laroyê grew from five months of recording and collaboration in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador. Hungarian producer and pianist Szabolcs Bognár connects samba, MPB and Candomblé traditions with broken beat, hip-hop and Afrobeat across thirteen tracks.
This 2026 edition presents a new master and cut of the album, originally released in 2021. The collaboration between Analogue Foundation and Oshu Records is pressed on two 180g records and housed in a thick tip-on gatefold jacket.
