About this release
Somewhere Soul’s Rituals Volume 1 follows curator Josh Mason-Quinn’s listening habits through the course of a day, moving from morning reflection towards the dancefloor. The twenty-track compilation brings jazz, soul and house together, pairing emerging musicians with artists already established in those scenes. Allysha Joy and Finn Rees open with Murmuring, followed by contributions from Chip Wickham, Amanda Whiting and Emanative. Later selections include Opek’s Delight, Charif Megarbane’s The Cartesian Joint and Marla Kether’s Morning Light. RE:WARM presents the collection across four sides of black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, preserving the full twenty-track sequence.
Format: Black double vinyl LP in gatefold sleeve
Label: RE:WARM
