'Wings' centres on the freedom and forward movement involved in embracing change, with Cross’ tuba at the heart of the music. The reverse approaches the reggae song with an easy-going feel and weight in the bass. Cross and Emre Ramazanoglu share production, with the release’s personnel including Chelsea Carmichael, Nathaniel Cross, Nikos Ziarkas and Patrick Boyle. Together, the two tracks connect his contemporary jazz practice with a distinct reggae reference, presented one per side.
