About this release
Classics collects early Aphex Twin recordings from the Digeridoo and Xylem Tube EPs alongside further singles, compilation tracks and remixes. Digeridoo, Polynomial-C and Tamphex sit with Analogue Bubblebath, Metaphaestic and Richard D. James’ two remixes of Mescalinum United’s We Have Arrived. The set closes with a live recording of Digeridoo from Cornwall in 1990. First issued in 1995, the compilation follows the harder and more rhythmically restless side of his early work, from acid textures to broken beats. This 2025 R&S double-vinyl reissue carries a new cut by Beau Thomas and includes an R&S / Aphex Twin artwork sticker sheet.
