About this release
Los Angeles trio ASHRR bring electronic soul, post-punk and space disco together on ‘Sunshine Low’. Lead vocalist Steven Davis works alongside producer-musicians Josh Charles and Ethan Allen, with reflective melodies set against rhythms made for late-night dancing. ‘Please Don’t Stop The Rain’ opens with an indie edge, while ‘What’s Been Turning You On’ follows a more relaxed groove. Released on Ralph Lawson’s 20/20 Vision Recordings, the vinyl album presents ten songs across two sides, moving from ‘Different Kind Of Life’ and ‘Sway’ through ‘Deux Sons’ and ‘Sun Song’, before ‘Koolove’ brings the record to a close.
