Birds Of Pandaemonium - Eudaemonia

Brooklyn duo Birds Of Pandaemonium bring their debut album Eudaemonia to Sprechen, following three EPs for the label. Hazy James Armstrong and Tim Wagner draw on years in New York’s DJ and club scene, joining dream pop, shoegaze and gothic pop with a steady rhythmic pull.

Original songs sit alongside versions of Idris Muhammad’s ‘Could Heaven Ever Be Like This’ and New Musik’s ‘On Islands’. Guitars, synths and drum machines give the record its hazy, romantic character, with a psychedelic streak running through the eight tracks. A good fit for anyone who likes their pop a little darker and their dance music a little more spacious.
