Chaos In The CBD - Midnight In Peckham

Chaos In The CBD's Midnight In Peckham captures the quieter, more reflective side of the dancefloor. Originally released in 2015 as Rhythm Section International's eighth release, the EP finds New Zealand brothers Ben and Louis Helliker-Hales drawing on the deep house traditions of the American Midwest while responding to their surroundings in South London.

Trust Is Key and Observe open the record, with Midnight In Peckham and Luxury Motivation on the flip. Isaac Aesili's horns give the title track a distinctive melodic voice, fitting the EP's patient, jazz-influenced mood. Across all four cuts, the duo favour subtle arrangements and a sense of space, making this a record for late-night listening as much as for the club.
