Citro - Smile

Funkscapes opens its catalogue with 'Smile', a return to the 1986 recordings of Saarbrücken funk band Citro. Active for four years, the group combined male and female lead vocals and played across Germany, France and Italy. This five-track 12-inch brings together 'Smile', 'Way Down To You' and 'We Got Fantasy', alongside a Dea rework of the title track and a BM edit of 'We Got Fantasy'. The Dea version is exclusive to the vinyl release. Presented in a picture sleeve with an insert, it reconnects a small German funk story with a new dancefloor audience.
