About this release
Cosimo Mandorino’s Cosmo Dance project explores early Italo-disco, cosmic disco and electronic funk on Cosmo-Logic. The four-track EP for Periodica Records imagines a world of humans and machines in conflict, using drum-machine patterns, processed voices and analogue synthesizers to build its sound.
Produced and finished in Naples with contributions from Raffaele Arcella and Dario di Pace, the record puts vocoders and voice modulation alongside sounds from instruments including the Korg MS-20. ‘Força Major’ and ‘My Machine’ take the first side, with ‘Binary War’ and ‘Computer World’ on the reverse.
