About this release
Conrad Standish and Samuel Karmel’s first self-titled CS + Kreme EP returns on Total Stasis. The Melbourne duo combine slow electronic rhythms, live instrumentation and spacious arrangements, moving between ambient passages and dub-influenced textures. Devotion opens with flute-led warmth before Basic Instinct (Club Scene) takes a more abstract approach to club music. Fresh Exit brings muted trumpet into the mix, and Paw Paw closes the record. Across these four pieces, the duo leave plenty of room around the instruments, allowing small melodic and rhythmic details to carry the music.
