About this release
The second self-titled CS + Kreme EP, originally released in 2017, brings Conrad Standish and Samuel Karmel back to Total Stasis. Bass, vocals and understated electronic rhythms sit within spacious arrangements that draw on dub and downtempo music. Whip features guitar from Nigel Lee-Yang, while Sisters puts Karmel’s dub approach into focus. Roast Ghost appears in its Swimming Thru The Pillars Mix, followed by Portal, where bass, keyboards, congas and saxophone broaden the closing arrangement. The four tracks favour a slow, unhurried progression, with space around each instrumental detail.
