D'Swing - Early Tapes EP

London producer Danny Kane revisits his 1990s D’Swing project on Early Tapes EP, a two-track 7-inch for Razor-N-Tape 45. Restored from the original masters, ‘Dream It’ and ‘Searching’ bring the project’s street soul and UK garage roots into focus, preserving the character of the recordings while giving them a fresh outing on vinyl.

Snappy drums, expressive live instrumentation and soulful vocals run through both sides, connecting their vintage feel with a disco sensibility. ‘Dream It’ leads the A-side, with ‘Searching’ on the flip: a concise introduction to Kane’s early archive and a natural fit for sets moving between soul, funk and disco.
