Electric Circus - High Fever / Ogres

Turin's Electric Circus pair High Fever and Ogres on a limited 7" for Killer Groove Records. Taken from their second album Rites, the two tracks bring together insistent basslines, sharp horns, wah-wah guitar and dub delays, with a sound drawing on '70s funk, Afrobeat and psychedelia.

High Fever builds from a syncopated groove towards a climax of saxophone, percussion and synths. On the flip, Ogres starts from a bass-and-percussion pattern in an Ethiopian pentatonic scale, moving through darker psychedelic and trip-hop textures before settling into a dreamlike finale. This single is limited to 500 copies worldwide.
