About this release
EPMD's So Watcha Sayin' and You Gots To Chill meet on a Know How seven-inch. Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith's contrasting voices sit over funk-based production, with DJ Scratch's turntable work adding another rhythmic layer to So Watcha Sayin'. That song comes from the duo's second album, Unfinished Business, while You Gots To Chill supplies the reverse with its drum loops, bass and vocoder texture. This edition pairs the two recordings with one on each side, bringing songs from different parts of EPMD's early catalogue together in a compact vinyl format.
