Fabio Santanna - Chega Mais

Rio de Janeiro producer Fabio Santanna pays tribute to Marcos Valle and Lincoln Olivetti on Onda Boa’s second release. Ao Som De Marcos Valle combines live elements with synthesizers and Rhodes, its lyrics nodding to Valle’s 1980s boogie recordings; JKriv adds a New York disco perspective on the remix. Chega Mais Lincoln turns to layered synth arrangements, a mid-tempo groove and vocoder in honour of Olivetti. Joutro Mundo’s version takes that track into more spacious, dub-influenced territory. The four-track 12-inch connects modern Brazilian boogie with cosmic disco and a distinctly tropical sense of rhythm.
