Floating Points - Ratio (Deconstructed Mixes)

Floating Points returns to the dancefloor with Ratio, a piece developed by Sam Shepherd for his solo electronic live shows. Originally released in 2017 after Elaenia and Reflections – Mojave Desert, it reconnects with the house music of his earlier records. This Pluto 12" repress presents the music as two deconstructed mixes, giving its melodic and rhythmic elements room to work separately.

On the A-side, Ratio (Pt. II Organ) follows the opening nine minutes of the digital version before continuing with the second half's organ part in isolation. The flip, Ratio (Pt. II Dub), separates out the drums and bassline from that same section. Together, the two sides offer DJs different ways to introduce the track's components into a set.
