About this release
The Great Beyond is Ilija Rudman's ninth studio album, built around the idea of the afterlife and a spoken narrative assembled from the words of writers, artists and public figures. An AI-created voice named ERIC delivers that narrative over Rudman's analogue instrumental production. Basses, drums, chords and lead synthesizer parts create a cinematic setting across six tracks, from Ana's Theme through the two-part Dreams. Released by Temples Of Jura, the record connects ambient and Balearic textures with a concept that runs through the whole sequence. The TEMPLELP006 edition is pressed on 180g vinyl, with sleeve design by Bradley Pinkerton.
