About this release
James Bangura and JR2k return to Floorspeed for a second shared release, following their earlier appearance on the label's 002. JR2k takes the A-side with Hardcore DC and Fever Dream, two intense tracks developed through live performances. On the flip, Bangura joins forces with JR2k for Accentuator, working tightly repeated loops into a hard-groove framework. His solo closing track Defiance uses an extended central breakdown to build tension before the drums return. Rooted in Washington DC's techno scene, the four-track record keeps its attention on forceful rhythms, repetition and the changing pressure of a club set.
