James Holden's fourth solo album imagines rave music beyond conventional genre boundaries. Imagine This Is a High Dimensional Space of All Possibilities combines field recordings and electronic textures in a continuous collage, reconnecting with the sense of freedom associated with early dance music. Its approach draws on the open-ended album forms of The KLF's Chill Out and Future Sound of London's soundscapes, following the live-band setting of The Animal Spirits with a different process. This Border Community double LP includes twelve tracks and a twelve-page booklet of original illustrations by Jorge Velez.
