Jungle Fire - Firewalker

Razor-N-Tape Reserve brings Jungle Fire’s live Afro-Latin funk into a four-track remix EP. JKriv reshapes Firewalker for DJ sets, while Bosq takes on Village Hustle, working with the rhythmic character of the Los Angeles band’s original recording. Black Science Orchestra, with founding members Ashley Beedle and Rob Mello reunited, contributes both a remix and a dub of Culebro. Their treatment foregrounds the bass against a shuffling rhythm, drawing on the group’s guitar and horn parts. The twelve-inch gathers the different approaches together, keeping the original players’ instrumental energy at the centre of the club arrangements.
