Kalcagni – Subsonic brings four tracks of electro to 20/20 Vision’s Exit Planet Earth series on 12" vinyl. Manchester producer Jonny Strinati combines driving machine rhythms, intricate synth sequences and agile basslines with a cinematic sense of space. There are echoes of Kraftwerk and Drexciya in the programming, with enough detail to reward home listening as well as time on a club system.

The release follows Kalcagni’s work on Cosmoba and Distrito 91, reconnecting him with Ralph Lawson’s Exit Planet Earth project, which began as a radio show on Openlab FM. Data Drift, Subsonic, Frequency Void and Hyperstatic make up a focused four-tracker for selectors drawn to the meeting point between precise drum programming and atmospheric electronics.
