About this release
Letta Mbulu’s ‘Nomalizo’ and ‘Kilimanjaro Take Us Higher’ share a double A-side 12-inch on South Street International. ‘Nomalizo’ brings an electro-boogie pulse to Mbulu’s distinctive vocal, while ‘Kilimanjaro Take Us Higher’ offers a more uptempo, singalong approach. Together they connect two sides of her dancefloor repertoire, pairing the rhythmic pull of boogie with the lift of Afro disco. The record gives each song its own side, presenting the two full tracks without additional remixes or instrumental versions. It is a focused pairing built around Mbulu’s voice and the contrasting movement of the two arrangements.
