Louie Vega brings the spirit of his Expansions NYC parties to this four-LP album for Nervous. Beginning in Manhattan and Brooklyn in 2019, the nights connected long DJ sets with late-night live jams, drawing dancers and musicians into the same space. That collective approach runs through these sixteen tracks, with contributions from Kerri Chandler, Moodymann, Honey Dijon and Joe Claussell alongside singers including Lisa Fischer, Robyn and Cindy Mizelle. Unlimited Touch open the set with 'Music Is My Life', setting out a shared vocabulary of house, disco, soul and funk that reflects the city behind the project.
