About this release
Flor Lilás brings four compositions by Luli Lucinha E O Bando back to 7-inch vinyl. Originally issued by Som Livre in 1972, the compacto combines psychedelic rock, MPB and folk through Luli and Lucinha's vocal partnership. Zé Rodrix's arrangements give the songs a shared musical setting, with percussion from Alyrio Lima adding another part of the ensemble sound. The title track leans towards Brazilian psychedelia, while Dourado Da Manhã draws folk and funk together. O Rato Roeu and Floresta Encantada complete the programme. Mr Bongo's reissue preserves all four tracks across the two sides.
