About this release
Parkwest founder Mark Seven joins Los Angeles recording artist Jamma-Dee as Mach-Jamm for Dedication. Their first collaboration draws on the musical language of New York and New Jersey house, with the original title track setting flute and Rhodes chords against a firm rhythm in the spirit of the Burrell brothers.
The NYC Mix sharpens the drums and adds a bouncing feel. On the reverse, Good Love (Praise) brings gospel vocals and organ stabs into the session, before Lost In The Maze closes with a repeated vocal chant, horn phrases and a solid bassline. Four cuts with a shared foundation and individual character.
