MF Doom - Operation: Doomsday

Operation: Doomsday introduced MF DOOM's masked persona on a full-length album in 1999. Following his earlier work as Zev Love X in KMD, DOOM built a distinctive world from cartoon dialogue, soul samples and intricate rhymes, making the familiar sound strange without losing the warmth of the source records.

Across nineteen tracks, songs such as Doomsday, Rhymes Like Dimes and Gas Drawls establish the mixture of humour, personal history and unusual detail that runs through his later work. This Rhymesayers double-vinyl edition presents the complete debut, including its skits and guest appearances, with the album's original sequence intact.
