About this release
When You Wake Up is the debut album from Danish-Chilean producer and composer Molina. Its ten songs combine digital and sample-based production with hand-played instruments, moving between dream pop, blurred guitar textures and atmospheric vocals. Flute lines and unpolished sounds sit alongside the synthetic elements, giving the arrangements an unstable, shifting quality. Scorpio and Neverland sit within a sequence that opens with Navel and closes with Organs, featuring ML Buch. GB also appears on A New Day. Released by Escho, the album traces the meeting of organic performance and processed sound across a compact programme.
