About this release
Substance 1987 traces New Order's singles from Ceremony to True Faith across four vinyl sides. The collection brings the group's guitar and electronic approaches together through tracks including Everything's Gone Green, Blue Monday, Thieves Like Us and The Perfect Kiss. It also includes the 1987 recordings of Temptation and Confusion, distinguishing those versions from the earlier singles. This 2023 remastered double LP follows the original twelve-track vinyl programme. The additional B-sides and live material available on expanded CD editions are separate from this pressing, whose final side runs through State Of The Nation, Bizarre Love Triangle and True Faith.
