About this release
Mr Bongo pairs two recordings by Os Devaneios on this Brazil 45s release. A Beleza É Você Menina comes from the group's 1979 album Raça Suor E Suingue, bringing soul, boogie and a hint of AOR into its samba setting.
Embalo Diferente, taken from O Conjunto Que Faz Você Vibrar, provides the reverse. Its more direct samba-funk approach makes an effective companion to the A-side's mixture of lift and melancholy. Both songs originally appeared through EMI, and this seven-inch brings them together as a concise look at the band's late-seventies sound.
